Real-time File-access Scans

Scheduled Scans

  • Scheduled scans can be created to run in the background at regular intervals or at specific times, or even as soon as there has been an update.

Finder Desktop Scans

  • Any volume, folder or file can be easily scanned at click of a button directly from Finder, via the contextual desktop menu or Finder's Services menu.

Removable Media Scans

  • Scanning of removable devices such as disk images, USB devices, DVDs and CDs, happens automatically whenever an item is mounted on your desktop.

Automatic Updating

  • Incremental updates occur in the background and are installed automatically, ensuring that you stay on top of the latest computer threats.

FileSafe

  • Any area of your Mac or network that you know is free from viruses can be excluded from being scanned. Disks, folders and files can be added to the FileSafe list.

History

  • A history of all actions performed by ProtectMac AntiVirus can be viewed in the main application. Search the history for events and display them in a separate desktop view.

Logging

  • All activity can be logged to a text file, which can be automatically archived at regular intervals to provide a library of past events on disk.
